This May, Associate Dealer John Satosek and his Kincardine, ON Canadian Tire store (located at 811 Durham St.) proudly hosted its annual geranium sale. The event didn’t just help to elevate the curb appeal of the community – it once again supported the South Bruce Grey Health Centre Kincardine Hospital. Thanks to the team’s enthusiasm and effort, the sale blossomed into a wonderful success – rain or shine!
The plan was to provide the hospital with a portion of the proceeds from any four-inch potted geranium sold at the Canadian Tire between May 4th and 9th. Several volunteers from the Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary were also available to lend a hand. But when the rainy weather deterred customers from shopping in the Canadian Tire Garden Centre during the special event, John extended the sale a few extra days and even added in his own personal donation to make sure the fundraiser achieved its goals.
Between the community’s support and John’s top-up donation, a total of $3,000 was presented to the Kincardine hospital. The money raised will go towards the provision of new and updated medical equipment – which is an investment that many in the South Bruce Grey region will benefit from.
“We are fortunate to live in such a caring and supportive community,” members of the Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary told the Owen Sound Sun Times.
